At the January School Board meeting, the AISD Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 AISD Calendar. Click here to view the calendar for next school year!

Starting Tuesday, February 17, TxDOT plans to begin a project to construct more than one mile of 8-foot sidewalk along the north side of FM 436 (W Main Street) from Lamar Street to State Highway 95. 

Because construction will occur along FM 436, families should anticipate periodic lane closures and possible delays, particularly during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times. We encourage parents to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use heighted caution when driving through work zones.

Monday, February 9th, is a Student Holiday/Staff Professional Development Day. 

Academy High School Culinary Department invites our community to the Senior Citizens Luncheon on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Menu:

• Roasted Chicken with mushrooms 
• Seasoned rice pilaf
• Parmesan roasted potatoes
• Tossed salad
• White chocolate raspberry cake
• Tea, lemonade and water

On January 6th, Academy ISD joins the state of Texas in honoring the life and legacy of Sam Rayburn!

Sam Rayburn was a master of persuasion who served 48 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, with 17 years as Speaker.

From championing rural electrification to building the farm-to-market roads we drive on today, his legacy is woven into the fabric of Texas. We are proud to honor a leader who defined excellence in leadership and service.
